The Sacred Valley is one of the most beautiful places in Peru. Along its picturesque stretch, it boasts Inca terraced cities, vast Andean cornfields and a pleasant climate, all surrounded by the banks of the Wilcanota River. To the ancient Peruvians, the valley was sacred because of its excellent agricultural resources. This is due to the microclimate in each village of the Sacred Valley: Pisac and its market, Ollantaytambo, Chinchero, Urubamba and many other towns. The Sacred Valley Tour is one of the most important tours in Peru and is a must for tourists visiting Cusco and Machu Picchu.
The trip starts at approximately 07:00 in the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel (exact time will be confirmed when you arrive at our office)in this tour we will cross the Vilcanota River with a panoramic view of the ancient Inca city of Pisac , in this tour we have the option to visit the most popular craftmarket in Peru where we will have a chance to learn more about the customs of its people and haggle with handicraft and souvenir sellers, then we will go to Urubamba and travel across the border to the Vilcanota River. We have lunch at a restaurant in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. In the afternoon we visit the Ollantaytambo fort and castle, built to guard the entrance to this part of the valley and protect it from the jungle habitants . We will have the opportunity to walk through the narrow streets and get a good idea of what this military, religious and cultural center was during the Inca Empire. On the way back to Cusco, we will stop at the colorful village of Chinchero, where we will find the ruins of the royal family of Tupac Inca Yupanqui, admire the well-preserved Inca walls in the main square, and you will visit the beautiful colonial temple With priceless portraits built on Inca bases.
